[12:40 PM Update: This issue has been resolved] The Magnolia Student Center's network is currently down. IT is aware of the issue and is working to restore connectivity.

Reminder: Dial full 10-Digit Number for IT and Facilities

This is a reminder that we have begun the migration over to Zoom Phones, beginning with IT and Facilities.

During this time, please note that you may need to dial the full 10 digit number to call people (not just the 3 digit extension). This includes the IT Helpline. We will notify you when the migration is complete and 3 digit extension dialing is fully available again.

Phone System Update to Zoom Phones - IT and Facilities

IT and Facilities will be switching over to Zoom between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM on Thursday, December 16th. During this window, IT and Facilities' phones may temporarily be down.

Once IT and Facilities are on the Zoom phone system, you will need to dial the full 10 digit number (951-252-8866) to reach anyone in those departments. Dialing the direct 3 digit extension will not work until your department or site has also transitioned to Zoom.

If at any time you experience trouble trying to dial a person's extension, try dialing the full 10 digit phone number instead. This will only be an issue until the entire organization has transferred to Zoom.

As the time nears for your department or site to make the switch, The IT department will reach out with a more detailed schedule of when, and will help with any preparations that need to be made to make the change as seamless as possible.

[UPDATE 4:00PM: Phones are now operational] IT is aware that the phones are currently down at some sites. We are looking into it and hope to have it resolved soon.

Canvas May Be Experiencing Some Issues

[UPDATE 12/8: Canvas reports that all systems are now operational] Amazon Web Services (AWS) is currently experiencing an outage that is affecting some Canvas users hosted in the IAD (North American) region. They are actively working towards recovery and will update as soon as they can with more information.

[UPDATE 10:38 AM): MySprings is back up] MySprings Giving a 502 Bad Gateway Error

[UPDATE: THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED] IT is aware that MySprings is giving a 502 Gateway Time-out message. We are looking into the issue and hope to have it resolved within the hour.

Maintenance to Servers Scheduled for Thanksgiving Week

IT will be performing maintenance on the servers the week of Thanksgiving, November 22nd - 25th. You may experience some issues with MySprings and any applications accessed through MySprings during that time. We expect any issues that may come up to be resolved by Monday, November 29th.

Google Changes May Cause Issues Today

Due to some changes by Google, Springs students and staff may experience some issues with Google applications and YouTube. IT is working on this issue and expects it to be fixed today.
